Standard Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all work undertaken by MJP Electrical Installations Ltd.

1. Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Any additional work requested beyond the original quotation will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly.

2. Deposits

For certain projects, including EV charger installations and larger works, a deposit (typically 50%) may be required prior to commencement.

Deposits secure booking dates and cover material costs.

If works are cancelled after materials have been ordered, the deposit may be retained to cover material and administrative costs.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to charge statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue commercial accounts.

Electrical certificates, warranties and documentation will not be released until full payment has been received.

4. Ownership of Materials

Ownership of all goods and materials supplied remains the property of MJP Electrical Installations Ltd until full payment has been received.

5. Existing Installations

We cannot accept responsibility for faults arising from pre-existing wiring or installations not originally installed by us.

Where defects are identified during works, additional remedial work may be required and will be agreed separately.

6. Customer-Supplied Materials

Where the client supplies their own materials or equipment, we accept no responsibility for the suitability, compatibility or performance of those items.

No warranty is provided on customer-supplied materials.

Additional labour charges may apply where time is incurred due to incorrect or defective supplied materials.

7. Access & Site Conditions

The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the working area.

Delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may result in additional charges.

8. Defects & Workmanship

Any concerns relating to workmanship should be notified in writing within a reasonable time of discovery.

This does not affect statutory rights.

9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the works undertaken, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control.
